For early-stage AgeTech startups, making your presence and product known within the aging and tech ecosystems can be critical to the success of your company.
One way to go about this is, now that in-person events are making a comeback, is to set up a booth at industry trade shows and pitch your product to hundreds of potential customers every day. While this is effective, it could get quite expensive if you’re just starting out. Another way, which could actually get some cash flowing into your company’s bank account, is to pitch at a startup pitch competition – some of these have cash awards.

Mediterranean Towers Ventures, which is a CVC that is focused on AgeTech, is hosting an annual pitch event, this time with a chance to win a $5000 cash award, mentoring and a possible investment from the fund. Apply by May 21st 2022.
The NIA is hosting a Healthy Aging Start-Up Challenge and Bootcamp to Foster Diversity and Accelerate Innovation. NIA will award cash prizes and non-cash prizes (such as entrepreneurial coaching, mentoring, and networking opportunities) – apply by May 23, 2022 for a chance to win $60,000
Aging2.0 Global Innovation Search is focused on CareTech this year, there’s no cash award but the prize package does include a paid pilot in at least one of the CEO council companies + an all expenses paid trip to the Aging2.0 Optimize conference with the chance to pitch to CEOs and top executives. Apply by June 12th 2022.
Q-Hub AgeTech startup pitch event – September 2022
Qhub is a German startup hub that hosts AgeTech events in the Dach region, for startups that specialize in the 55+ demographic. This year, they’re hosting and online+offline trade show and give startups the chance to pitch in front of investors and potential customers. Apply today.
Annual Recurring Pitch Events To Put on The Calendar
AARP innovation labs host multiple pitch events every year, some are at huge conferences like CES, other are collaborations with organizations like Mass Challenge Health Tech. Some include cash prizes, others do not. Either way – you get to know the team of the AARP Innovation Labs and a chance to be selected for their program. Check out the AARP pitch events calendar.
Mary Furlongs hosts multiple conferences every year that are a great place to meet investors, prospects and network. The Longevity Business Summit which is usually held up in June, hosts an annual business plan competition, in which winner receives a $10,000 cash prize.
